Wi5 Wireless Networking
Autani’s Wi5 systems provide a “drop in” wireless solution that replaces a wired serial connection with reliable wireless connectivity. Wi5 wirelessly enables devices that do not natively support wireless communication.
Messages are sent between the Wi5 nodes and forwarded to the connected devices at either end of the link. Connected devices see no difference between messages delivered wirelessly by Wi5 and messages delivered by a wired connection.
Wi5 provides wireless connectivity for meters, thermostats, lighting controllers, sensors, and other devices and control systems equipped with wired RS-485 connections.
Wi5 Wireless Wire Link
A Wi5 Wireless Wire Link includes one gateway node and up to five remote nodes. Each node is connected to a device and a wireless link is established to replace a wired RS-485 connection between the devices using master/slave packet based protocols.
