Autani's energy management system attacks all areas of waste, provides real-time usage and savings data, automatically enforces user defined energy savings policies, and provides recommendations for further savings. By taking this comprehensive approach, Autani's customers are yielding savings up to 80% over previous energy costs.

Beyond Energy ManagementAt the heart of Autani’s system is the Autani Manager, a small yet powerful computer appliance that receives input from a range of environmental sensors which detect temperature, natural light levels, occupancy, and power consumption throughout a facility. Based on user defined energy saving policies, adjustments to light levels, room or area temperature, networked PCs and plug devices are automatically triggered to minimize energy waste. The Autani Manager incorporates sophisticated real-time data analysis and rules management engines that digest all the input, including current cost of energy, and coordinate setback or shutdown processes through remotely controllable devices. 

For example, rules could be set so that if the system determines no occupant presence, then lights are turned off, HVAC is setback and computers are properly hibernated. After the system determines the computers are safely hibernated then controllable power strips with printers, speakers, chargers, task lamps, etc. are also turned off.

 


Easy Retrofit Installation


All components of the Autani system, including light control, thermostats, receptacles and power strips, can be wirelessly controlled by the AutaniManager utilizing a ZigBee wireless “mesh network” in which each device also acts as a wireless repeater. This self-healing web of

With no wires to install, the cost to retrofit an existing facility is minimized.

However, if it is required, the Autani Manager has been designed to support wired and Powerline communication as well.

Every Autani Manager is fully equipped to support all areas of energy efficiency, but due to its low cost, impressive savings and ROI can be achieved by starting with just lighting or HVAC or Networked PCs and plug loads.

Or, start with just one building or even one floor. When you are ready to expand, simply install additional sensors and controllable devices.

 


Demand Response Ready

Not only does the Autani Manager deliver comprehensive building energy efficiency, but it also functions as a smart gateway to “demand response” programs sponsored by local utilities or their agents. Scalable because the AutaniManager can involve so many areas of energy consumption in a building, much greater flexibility is available to the customer in determining priorities for load shedding during a curtailment event.
